About the Zine

This will be a free release zine featuring art and writings dedicated to Ogata Hyanosuke and everything about his characters. From his dynamics with others, his own backstory and motivations, to his wild and random antics, we'd love to highlight the things we love most about him and his part in Golden Kamuy.

Guidelines

Zine Specs:• The zine will be in an 2550x3300 px (8.5x11 in), RGB digital format.•This zine will be focused on writing and illustration work.• We will be featuring at least 20 artists and 10 writers, though we are willing to take on more depending on the interest for the zine.-About the Zine:•This will be a free release, digital zine. There will be available downloads on itch.io and off our Google Drive.•This zine will be 18+/NSFW given the nature of the media Ogata is from. There will be possible subjects of violence, blood, bodily harm, etc., so please participate and view at your own discretion.•This will be a no-chase zine. If you do not meet the timeframe for joining the discord, submitting pitches, or meeting your deadlines without letting the mods know, we will consider that as a resignation from the zine.•Artists and writers hold full rights to their piece once the zine concludes. We ask that zine pieces past the sketch phase/draft phase not be shared outside the zine's Discord. Breach of this rule will result in your exclusion from the zine.•While we are accepting of all skill levels for all art and writing, we do ask that your final pieces fit the standard set by the zine. That means having your artwork match the size required, and your end writing piece be properly edited and proofread.-About the Application Process:•Contributors must be 18+ by the type of applications closing. No exceptions.•Accepted contributors must join the zine's Discord server. If you can not or will not join, you can not participate.•Plagiarism or use of AI in any form will not be tolerated in any shape or form. If you are caught doing this, you will be removed from the zine and barred from future entries in other zines.•While the zine will be considered NSFW, we ask that your example pieces not contain anything sexually explicit in nature. Typical TW/CW will still apply during your application.•We ask that you submit at least two full colored illustrations in your application, and/or one finished writing piece, so we can best assess your potential entries.•Please ensure that any pieces you submit are accessible for the mods to view. If we can not see them, we will have to consider your application incomplete.•Mods will only be judging on the skill the artists show and the relevency of their pieces. Followers, mod association, or anything of that sort will not be considered in the acceptance of your contributor application.

What is a fanzine?A fanzine is a collaborative effort between fans of a certain franchise, series, or fandom, to compile artwork, writing, and more into either a physical or digital booklet.-What characters will be showcased? What about ships?This is exclusively an Ogata Hyakunosuke zine, so any other characters will be secondary to him, if at all. As for shipping, we will not be featuring that in this zine.-•Will OCs be allowed in the zine?We will not allow OCs in this zine, even as secondary focus.-Will Headcanon designs be allowed for characters? What about AUs?
While we will allow the depiction of AU designs (Modern, Western, Demon, etc) we do ask that you stay true to the source material. We will reject pitches or ask you to modify things if they are too OOC or too far from the source material.-Is there a cost for the zine? What do contributors get from participating?This will be a free release zine! Contributors will get their own copy of the zine, along with any digital merch created.-What is the rating of this zine?This zine will be given a NSFW/18+ (non-sexual) rating. The zine will not include anything that isn't already seen in the source material.-Who will be allowed to participate?Contributors must be 18+ to apply, but artists and writers of any skill level are free to apply! Artists of non-digital media are also allowed to apply, so long as they can have their pieces fit within specifications. You can find more on that in the Guidelines.-Will contributors need social media to participate?They will only be required to have a discord, as that will be the main point of contact. If they have nothing else beyond that, that's okay!-How many pieces can I submit for the zine? Are artists allowed to collaborate?We will accept two pieces from contributors, either art or writing.
As for collaborations, we will allow artists and writers to come together for spot art on their stories, but we will not be having art collaborations at this time.-How many contributors will be accepted?While we can't guarantee everyone will be accepted, we will be accepting as many as we can!-Can contributors apply for more than one role?They may, but they may not be accepted to each role applied for.-Will Mods be allowed to contribute?Absolutely!-What happens when the zine project ends?All contributors will retain full ownership of their pieces, and are free to post their own pieces wherever they wish AFTER the mods conclude the end of the zine.
